Uniform Expenses

We understand that cheerleading can be expensive, especially in the first year. All items that you purchase are for you to keep, therefore most items should only need to be purchased once during an athlete’s tenure in the Lansing Catholic Cheer Program. We will do our best to provide fundraisers and financial assistance as often as possible. We never want the expense to be a reason your daughter doesn't cheer, so if you have difficulty making payments – please speak with your daughter’s cheer coach and arrangements/scholarships can be made on an individual basis.

SHOES

  • During the competitive season, athletes will be required to purchase dance slippers from Bottom's Up in Okemos (517-349-0158).  New slippers must be purchased for every competitive season - old shoes CAN NOT be worn.  The cost of the dance slippers are about $25.00.  Some athletes prefer to wear hard sole cheerleading shoes for the stunt round - if you prefer hard sole shoes verse dance slippers - please contact Coach Boehringer for ordering information.

BODYSUIT/BRIEFS

  • All athletes must have a bodysuit and a pair of black boycut briefs for the 2011 competitive season. These can be the same bodysuit/briefs worn from a previous season – provided they are in good condition and have been approved by a coach. New bodysuits and briefs can be purchased at Bottom’s Up in Okemos (517-349-0158). If you mention that you are a Lansing Catholic cheerleader – they will give you a 10% discount. All athletes must have a bodysuit and brief before team pictures on November 20.

UNIFORMS

  • Uniforms are school property. A skirt and shell will be issued to each cheerleader in November. Uniforms must be kept in clean and good condition. If at any time, a uniform is lost or damaged – the cost of replacement will be the responsibility of the athlete. Uniforms can be altered provided that the material IS NOT cut and the alterations are removed at the end of the season. Please be sure to take good care of the cheerleading uniform while it is in your care as it will cost approximately $200 to replace.
WARM-UP & TEAM BAG
  • This year - our competitive cheer team members will be purchasing a pair of black soft pants to be worn as warm-ups for competitions.  The cost of these pants will be between $20-25.  Ordering information will be covered with the girls at the intital team meeting on November 12.  A matching sweatshirt will also be ordered to be worn on the bus during cold weather.  This will take place at our team meeting on November 12.
  • The optional team bag can be purchased from Athlete's Connection on MLK Blvd (517-394-5295).  The cost of the bag is approx. $35.

Gymnastics Expenses

  WINTER GYMNASTICS

  • An organized gymnastics class will be set up for all competitive cheer athletes and will either take place at the high school during regular practice time or at the armory during regular practice time.  The cost will be $80 for the season (November-Febuary) as is due on Thursday, November 11.
