How do I best prepare for tryouts?

  • Weight training workouts are held at LCHS every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30-4:30 in the LCHS weight room.  This is a good opportunity for you to build your strength and prevent your body from injuries during the season.
  • Skill workout practices will be held once a week for you to work on your skills and advance your athleticism.  A complete list of these dates will be handed out at the parent meeting on April 19.

What do you wear to tryouts on May 21?

  • Please wear comfortable shorts and a t-shirt.  Dress as if you would dress for cheerleading practice.  No denim shorts or jewelry.  Your hair should also be off your shoulders and in a ponytail.  A hair ribbon is preferred.  You should wear comfortable tennis shoes - cheerleading shoes if you have them.  You will be stunting.
  • Formal attire will be required on the final day and you will be notified of that on the first day of tryouts.

What happens if I make the team?

  • All athletes should visit our cheerleading website and review our expectations on practice/game attendance, as well as, all other expectations we have of our cheerleaders.
  • Athletes and families should also note our 2011 football game schedule.  Games can not be missed by athletes.

What do I do if I have any questions?

  • Review the website to see if your question can be answered.  Otherwise, contact head coach Jodi Boehringer at 517-267-2116 or boehringer@lansingcatholic.org.
