Coach Jodi Boehringer - Head Cheer Coach

Jodi Boehringer began coaching in 1995 at Fowlerville High School.  In 1997, Jodi took on the cheer program at Lansing Catholic High School and will be entering her 15th year in 2009-2010.  A former MHSAA state finalist cheerleader from Bad Axe High School, Jodi also works for Cheer! Michigan in the summer as a director for cheerleading camps and also spends time on the Board of Directors for CCCAM (Competitive Cheer Coaches Association on Michigan) as the Region 2 Representative.

During her coaching career, Jodi was named an MCCA (Michigan Cheerleading Coaches Association) Coach of the Year finalist in 2003 and 2005.  In 2008, she was awarded Regional Coach of the Year from CCCAM after leading her team to an 8th place Division III finish at the 2008 MHSAA Competitive Cheer State Finals.

Before becoming an MHSAA competitive cheer team in 2007, Lansing Catholic earned 4 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 8 trips to the MCCA State Championship and was named the 2002 Class B State Champions under the direction of Coach Boehringer in the MCCA sideline cheer format.

A 2000 graduate from Michigan State University, Jodi now works at Lansing Catholic High School teaching Journalism and Digital Photography and is in charge of Public Relations and Marketing for the high school.

 

Coach Alisha Yingling - Varsity Assistant Coach

Alisha Yingling began coaching in the fall of 2005 for the 4th-5th grade Junior Panther cheer team in DeWitt.  After coaching for two seasons, Alisha applied and received the Junior Varsity coaching position at Lansing Catholic in 2007. 

Alisha, a former MHSAA cheerleader from Dewitt, helped lead her team to the State Runner-Up title in 2007.  She also received All-State 2nd team and All-Region 2nd team honors her senior year.  As a sophomore and junior, Alisha received All-League honors.  She also was a recipient of a $1000 scholarship from Reed’s Insurance Agency for her accomplishments as a DeWitt cheerleader.

In 2008, Alisha accepted the assistant varsity position at LCHS and is currently coaching with Jodi.  She is wrapping up her Associates Degree in Business Administration at Lansing Community College. She also became a licensed cosmetologist in 2008 and started working at Hip Hop Hair in DeWitt in July of 2008.

 

Coach Tiffany Wahl - Varsity Assistant Coach

A former cheerleader from Grand Haven High School, Tiffany Wahl led her team to their school's first state championship appearance as a senior in 1995.  While attending Michigan State University, Tiffany became the Junior Varsity coach at Lansing Catholic in 1998, coaching at that level until 2001.

In 2001, Tiffany accepted the varsity head coach position at Lansing Eastern High School.  After coaching the Quakers for one year, Tiffany returned to her roots at Lansing Catholic and became the assistant varsity coach with Jodi where she continues today.  

For eight years, Tiffany was a cheerleading uniform sales representative for Varsity Brands, and since 2008 has been an advertising sales executive for the Lansing State Journal.  A current MCCA and MCJA member, Tiffany also served on the MCCA Board of Directors as the Leadership Conference co-director with Jodi, and is a former MCCA state finals judge. 

Tiffany is a member of St. Gerard Parish and enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and their son Pete, 2 1/2.

 

Samantha Ruiz - Junior Varsity Coach

Samantha Ruiz began her cheerleading career in the fall of 2002 where she cheered for the 7th grade Junior Panther cheer team in DeWitt.  She continued into high school where she cheered on the DeWitt Varsity cheer team, helping lead her team to the state meet twice where her team managed a second place in 2007 and a 3rd place in 2008.  Throughout her high school cheerleading career she received All-State 2nd Team, All-Region and All-League honors.

Her coaching career began in 2007 where she started coaching gymnastics at Phenomenal Flips in
Lansing.  The summer of 2008, Samantha made the Champion Cheerleading Camp staff before going to school in Chicago for a semester.  After returning to Michigan in November of 2008, Samantha began coaching Team Gymnastics at Phenomenal Flips. In 2009, she accepted the Junior Varsity coaching position at LCHS. She is currently attending Michigan State University, and plans on studying Advertising and English.
